Smile! for [Colorful Updates] Laggy Posts and Plans

School has started a new semester and this time I've applied for more classes, so that means less time to update the bloggy and record things for my smileys. I've acquired some hauls because I got an H&M card from a friend and I decided to try some new things to add to my closet.

There's new haul videos and some tutorials as well as more Colorful Adventures coming soon! Please stay tuned! (:

Smile! for [Colorful Links] Colors and Shoes

1. Talbots
I don't really shop at Talbots, but when I was looking around on their site, I realized that there are quite a bit of items in the sale section that both I would wear AND I can afford. There are actually quite a lot of basics that Talbots offers so this store being only for older people, is a myth that has been broken! Dun dun duuuuun!~ Right now they're having a 25% discount for all of their cardigans as well! (: Check it out here.
Sweater Jacket
I imagine to see this jacket for a much more expensive pricetag, but it's actually priced about the same as if you'd see it at Forever 21. Now you know that's pretty cheap, but fashionable, when the price is like that! (: So tempting....sigh.

Talbots Grace Fit Ribbon belted linen jacket
I adore how simple, yet elegant this jacket is. From the belted bow to the hidden little buttons, I imagine it worn as a casual jacket and yet also acting as a blazer stand-in.

Talbots Grace Fit Delave Linen jacket
I've always enjoyed the jackets that could secretly double agent as a blazer. This jacket is another one of them where in white would look business formal and elegantly chic.

Ruched Scoopneck Tee
This tee is one of the basics that I would buy simply because there's so many colors to choose from and just something that you could dress on its own, or dress up to be fashionably stunning. I'd really suggest it also because of its super wallet friendly price. (;

Talbots Grace Fit Washed silk safari jacket
For those who don't enjoy the girly look and want something more outdoorsy, I would suggest this jacket. It's flap pockets remind those of men's dress shirts, but the silk material is so tempting to rub your cheek against. I mean..it's silk! And for that price? Uberly hearing hauntingly beautiful calls to my wallet's ears. Oh my!~

Twitter

2. Sea of Shoes
Jane Aldridge's style blog is absolutely gorgeous. She makes me so sad that I'm not a redhead because her hair is oh so pretty. I really enjoy her fashion sense because everything is simply to vibrant and it's as if her mere presence is a statement. Anyways, check out her blog. (: I enjoy reading about the wonderful things that she experiences, as well as the beautiful pictures she posts. (:

3. LuLu's
I discovered this store and it made my wallet panic because they have very simple shoes that I really like in multiple colors, which to me is pretty awesome. (: Oh...minimum wage (hangs head)....besides....FOOD >SHOPPING. Sorry...the appetite my tummy gives is too overwhelming compared to the appetite of my closet, even if they offer so many cute shoes for less than $50. Nevertheless, when I gets my hands on more moolah, my shoe collection shall grow. Hopefully...SO MANY COLORS! <3 (wags imaginary tail)
Pixie Dust One Shoulder Glitter Tan Dress
Simple and glamorous. Dress it up to a fancy party and...hey why not? Accessorize it to cosplay as Pocahontas! It's certainly possible. (:

Sylvester in Love Grey Animal Print Dress
With a black leather jacket, tights and some cute black or grey ankle boots, I can really imagine this to be the base of an extremely cute outfit for a day out with friends and for a date with that special someone, not to mention that animal print is very trendy lately. (:

Glitter-Sweet Gold Dress
If the first glittery dress with the one sleeve isn't really your style, I would really suggest this one instead! (: It has a very interesting back that shows it off in a very intriguing way.

BB Dakota Laine Print Dress
This dress reminds of the colors of a peacock with it's lush attracting tail and it's earthy design. I'd say with a denim jacket, some wedges and a brown crossover bag, you'd be ready to go play in the sun or wander around a garden! (:

Qupid Heigl 01 Berry Velvet Peep Toe Pumps
Personally whenever I wander around in the Pumps section of an online store or physically in a shoe store, peep toe or closed toe is always something that I have to debate between. Peep toe is definitely a style that I think is cute though. (: Here are the many colors I was talking about!
Black Velvet Lime Suede Gold Metallic Cobalt Blue Suede Red Pleated

Qupid Penelope 47 Coral Ruched Platform Pumps
Ruched anything gives the piece more texture and it's a style that I've come to really love. These delicate and bright colors could really just pick up your day, couldn't they? :D
Sea Green Suede Yellow Suede

Qupid Onyx 01 Nude Velvet Party Platform Pumps
I've been looking around for the perfect nude pumps and to be honest, this one is the closest that I've seen. The lush velvet texture, the light nude color and the rounded toe. Oh if only there was a way! Too bad, right now they're sold out....but the look continues!

Smile! for [Colorful Updates] Scrump Nail Art

Scrump is the doll that Lilo (from Lilo and Stitch) carried around. (: When I first saw Scrump, she was something that reminded me of a Tim Burton character: cute, yet a little goth and potentially creepy. FYI...I LOVE Tim Burton's stuff. Absolutely awesome. Anyways, hope that you enjoy having little Scrump on your nails. (;

Smile! for [Colorful Links] Paper Crafts and Textures

1. ASOS
Most recently, I've made my first purchase from ASOS. It's a very bright orange corset that I plan to use for a female version of the Joker (Batman series) cosplay. Stay tuned for some comments on the ASOS product. Anyways, onto the other products that caught my eye this week.
ASOS Corset with Strapping
Let's face the music, being pretty flat chested sucks, but it never hurts to dream and look around for things that's usually for bigger chested people, especially when it's on the ASOS website, which has things that run for smaller people as well. (Thank goodness!) This corset has the most interesting strapping that I've seen yet and it's very stylish to pull off for a night out with the girls and can be dressed up for a dinner date without looking overly sexy.
Vero Moda Denim Dress
Denim dresses are usually for the spring or summer season in my opinion, but it's always possible to add layers onto it to make it into a colder climate outfit. This denim dress is so simple and absolutely a very cheerful light blue color that can do just that. (:
Vero Moda Lace Mix Tunic Dress
For those who love to mix textures or are easing into the concept, this tunic dress is very friendly for you! (: The "shirt" portion is very simple with a very breezy design down the middle while the "skirt" portion looks like another texture entirely, even though it's the same color. Putting on a thick cardigan while adding a belt on top of that would really make it a stylish outfit for when it's not as cold during the day, but get's a little more chilly towards the night time.
A|Wear Aztec Printed Mini Skirt
The first thing that I really liked about this outfit was how down to earth, but also how chic it looked. I would recommend to wear this outfit during the spring though, but if you really want to wear it during this season, maybe some thick black tights underneath the skirt would help you out. (:
ASOS Metal Mixed Chain ID Tag
I'm not a huge fan of accessories, but personally I enjoy the very simple ones that really add polish to an outfit. ID tags are a design that I've come to really enjoy, so this very cute gold one really made me see potential in it! (:

2. Strictly Paper
Strictly Paper was a blog that I stumbled upon about paper crafts and it definitely sparked a few ideas that I want to try out. What things did you think were amazing?
Paper Stop Motion Music Video for Amos Lee’s Flower by //kneeon
I think paper animations are absolutely one of the most amazing things to ever conduct. The time and effort put into every single shot and fold and scene. It's amazing!
Paper Shoes by Julie VonDerVellen
Shoes made out of paper? You gotta admit, even the shoe enthusiast would think that this is pretty awesome? Yes yes? No? Well you should! I hope.
The Little Mermaid a Layered Paper Illustration by Brittney Lee
Brittney Lee is absolutely amazing. Her crafts are so creative and very whimsical! <3 Check her out! (:

3. Charlotte Russe
Usually when I go to the mall, I pass by Charlotte Russe because they hardly have clothes my size in stores, but online, again thank goodness, they do. Normally I enjoy browsing and seeing what their online stock has to offer and this time I found a few that really made my wallet cringe, but my closet very needy.
Ankle-Wrap Metallic Trim Pump in Dark Teal
This dark teal color is gorgeous and to add this color on your feet would really dress it up for some fun. (:
Ankle-Wrap Metallic Trim Pump in Berry
I think these purple pumps are really versatile from a night out with the girls to a fancy party.
Coral Denim Skinny Jeans
I love looking at colored skinnies because I really think that they make a wonderful pop of color to an outfit.
Sueded Platform Stiletto Pump in Chartreuse
Bright pumps can really highlight an outfit, and I really enjoy the material suede. (: So put two and two together really make my closet itch.

Smile! for [Colorful Updates] A Not So Smiley Update

YouTube has been very confusing for me today.

YouTube has suspended the ColourMoiChic account when I use Mozilla Firefox! I'm honestly not sure what's wrong, but they say that it is due to spam and some other things. The thing that confuses me is that I can still access my YouTube account when I sign in using Internet Explorer.

I have already taken steps to inform YouTube and appealed against the suspension on Mozilla Firefox, so for now I'll just sit and wait to see what the YouTube staff says. Hopefully, this will be fixed soon.

Hoping that you're having a better day than I am!

Smile today!

[UPDATE]
Now, I can't access it through any search engine. ;^; Oh no! I'll keep trying to bring it back up! My apologies!

Smile! for [Colorful Adventures] Filming Fails and Christmasy Disneyland

So maybe describing Disneyland to be a magical place is being cliche-ly redundant, but being there during while the holiday decorations are up, after the fireworks end and the Sleeping beauty castle is covered in silvery blue glittering lights and their imitation white snow starts fluttering down onto your hands, it's the most magical feeling in the world. Even more so if you have never been in real snow before.

Here are some pictures:

So at Disneyland right now, there's pretty much a deal where you can get a ticket for $99 that's good for two days from now until June, which for a student, isn't a bad deal at all, especially if you love Disneyland. Hehe. P: I'm currently debating about upgrading my ticket to getting an Annual Pass. What do you think?

Anyways, there's a lot of things that I'm planning and one of them is a Closet Sale! I was doing a house cleaning for the past couple days and I've pulled out clothes that I wore in middle school and some old clothes that I just don't think I'll wear anymore. My friend also put in some clothes for the guys, along with some stuffed animals for the kids. (: At the moment, I'm still pulling together everything, but stayed tuned for that! (:

Smile! for [Colorful Links] Elegance and Textures

1. Victoria's Secret
Victoria's Secret's Semi-Annual Sale apparently is still going on, but their swim section's Clearance is so great. Here are some bathing suits that I thought were so cute for the summer season, but so affordable too!

2. H&M
H&M is having a sale right now and some of their pieces are absolutely tempting me to eat instant noodles for a few days. >_> Does saying that make me sad? For example:
Woven sheer scarf
This scarf would really give an outfit dimension and extra texture.
Metal cuff bracelet
If you wore this cuff over a black long sleeved top it would really give the outfit a very elegant touch.
Messenger bag
This bag really looks like a school girl bag! It really looks like something that would be helpful when you just want to shop around or walk around with a friend or on a casual date.
Thin metal belt
This golden belt would really bring shine and elegance over a dress while cinching your waist.

3. Forever 21
Seems like Forever 21 is restocking because there are a lot of things on sale right now, and even if it's not on sale, there are a lot of really fashionable pieces, especially if you're going out somewhere with the girls or with that special someone. Here are some pieces that I caught my eye. (:
Colorblock Panel Dress
Clubbing? A girl's night out? A date? This dress seems to versatile with so many night occasion possibilities!
Ribbed Bodycon Dress
These bodycon dresses really do seem interesting. I've always wanted to try a lace dress on top of something as simple like this dress.
Asymmetrical Dress
This asymmetrical dress looks like something that could be a basic piece in your closet. It's one of those pieces where if you dress it up with accessories and some awesome shoes, it'd be absolutely stunning. With a belt, some black heels and a black clutch, this piece would look so great!
Royal Blue Asymmetrical Shift Dress
This blue dress looks so flowy and elegant! So pretty~
Pointelle V-Neck Sweater
Since it's still winter time where I am, layering is a very important piece
Light Pink Quilted Shoulder Bag
I don't like pink, but for those who do, this is a very cute design on a shoulder bag. (:
Sequin Floral Heels
I'm not a sequin fan, so once I saw these, I was amazed how much I liked them! They're so cute and I would definitely wear these out on a date!

Smile! for [Colorful Adventures] Wasabi Monster's at Pasadena!

So the original plan was to go to see the Rose Parade floats after the parade, but due to the serious relationship my friends and I had with the beautiful sleep, we missed out on that. So instead, we went exploring in downtown Pasadena. One of my friends used to live around the area, so we were given a very nice tour of the area. (:

For lunch, we had Creme de la Crepe, which was absolutely delectable. Their crepes are so good. The chocolate ones tasted very strong, but extremely flavored because of the nutella. Unlike most places where the fruits are sour, the fruits used in Creme de la Crepe were sweet and were the best strawberries I had ever tasted. They top the dessert crepes with whip cream that they made themselves. The savory crepe that my friend ordered was really good too, with ranch that they made themselves as well! I'm not even a huge fan of salad dressing either, so to me, it's a really big deal.

[Top Left] Splendid: Honey and Strawberries
[Top Right] Esquiste: Ham, Cheese, Basil Sauce
[Bottom Right] Strawberries, Bananas, Nutella

We went to the Pasadena City Hall and it was gorgeous. So pretty that when I recorded clips of it, I became so awed that I said it was pretty three times without knowing what else to say. XD Here are some other shots I took at City Hall.

I can totally imagine this beautiful place where Fashion YouTubers would go to shoot their videos. Can't you? The atmosphere is simply majestic and it definitely feels timeless there.

So later on for dinner, my friends and I went to O2 Sushi for dinner and it was soooo good. <3 Their sashimi is really fresh. <3 I will just type a parade of hearts hoping that it'll convey how good it was. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 (complete with eyes closing and taste buds dancing) Here are some shots of the food. <3 <3 <3 <3

Believe me yet?

While we were waiting for the bill, I was in such a good mood that I turned my unused wasabi into a little monster, and then afterwards turned my friend's leftover wasabi into a mouse with one of my chopsticks. X3 Heh heh heh...

What a fantastic way to start off 2012! Hope you enjoyed this entry of Colorful Adventures! (:
